Apple iLife '08 is the collection of renowned Mac applications including iWeb, iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD and GarageBand.
Apple iLife '08 enables you to manage all your digital-life files – movies you make, pictures you take and music you create – in a single, convenient suite. When you're done editing your stuff, you can burn it using iDVD or publish it on the Internet using iWeb.

iPhoto
Apple iPhoto '08 included in iLife '08 allows you to organize your pictures around easy-to-remember events instead of dates you've taken them. This makes finding photos easier and quicker than browsing through catalogs marked with their creation time.
Searching your galleries is easy too – you can search for titles, dates, tags, names, keywords and ratings you've given to your pics.
iPhoto '08 lets you share your photos via .Mac Web Gallery, send them via email, and publish them in form of calendar or a Web page. Sharing with .Mac Web Gallery is a breeze – just click the photos you wish to make available to others and iPhoto automatically publishes them for viewing and download.

iMovie

iWeb
Apple iWeb '08 included in the iLife suite enables you to create stunning Web sites with no HTML nor design experience. You can use a standard Apple theme to start with or create your own from scratch. Add photos, images, video and text to that Web site and then automatically publish it on the Internet.
iWeb allows you to embed third-party interactive website widgets that will enrich your project: use Google Maps, automatic news updates, weather forecast or other live elements you can find. iWeb lets you embed Google AdSense code that displays featured ads on your website.
Building larger websites can be daunting for novice designers. However, iWeb will drastically simplify the process for you, for example adding links and navigation to every subpage of your Web project to avoid confusion.

GarageBand
GarageBand as contained in iLife '08 is a sound / voice editing software allowing you to create music, mix voice and soundtracks that can be later used in your videos or simply recorded on a CD for listening.
GarageBand supports 24-bit sound recording. Use multi-take recording, adjust graphical equalizer, tempo and pitch of your tracks.
iDVD
iDVD contained in the Apple iLife '08 suite is the DVD authoring tool allowing you to record and share music, videos, photos and websites on a standard DVD disc.
You can add animated menus, Apple themes, chapter selection and more effects. You can choose from over 150 themes and using them is as simple as drag and drop your videos into them.
You can record pictures, galleries, movies, edited videos customizing your DVDs.
